Silly Haiku Wednesday: The Spirit of Giving

(photo icon courtesy of http://www.sspproc.org/)

In loving the poor,
St. Nicholas showed kindness,
Revealing Christ's Love.

May we give this gift
Cheerfully, humbly, with joy.
Living the Gospel.

Meaning of Christmas?
It's not about receiving.
It's about giving.

Share the season's joy
With all those you come across!
May God bless you all!

Next week's theme? Guilty pleasures.

The basics:

Haiku is simple!
It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively
(a great way to use your fingers!)

I always love your Haiku's. You should do a book with them in it!

Great Haikus, Christmas is about giving not receiving. I love picking out things for people and watching them open it. We're tying to take more time to spend with friends and family too - great memories are some of the best presents that stay with you for a long time.

Creative as you, Polly
Haikus hurt my head

Crank these out every Wednesday
I think I'll be fine

Wonderful job with these---I would do them, but I want my girls' birthday post to stand alone today!
;-)

I love the lines that say it's about giving and not receiving. So true & I wish more people would realize that....
