This is what I came home with.
"Rise and Shine"! Perfect since I am up most mornings around 4:30 or 5:00. I hear the roosters crow as I take dear Daisy for a walk. I look forward to praying for the lovely woman who gave this mug! God bless you Diane!
Cheesy Giveaway!
As some of you may know, Mr. Sister won a AAA prize package at the Carolina Panther game this past Sunday. Besides being given a 1 in 10 chance to win a cruise, AAA sent him a box of goodies that arrived via FedEx yesterday. One of the items within was this nylon satchel depicting that ever annoying talented teen boy band, The Jonas Brothers.
I'm thinking this would be a perfect stocking stuffer for that pre-adolescent Jonas fan in your household. To enter, just type in "Jonas giveaway entry" in your commentary. I will randomly select a winner this Sunday evening (Dec. 13 at 6pm) so that I can ship it out to you by Monday. I will notify the winner by email (make sure you have a functioning email in your profile!)

Hey, that is my favorite Jonas Brother's bag!!!
Polly,
Thanks for the shout out and FABULOUS job with the Hanukkah Haikus!!! LOVE them all!
;-)
Good Morning, I am digging me way out to go buy Chanukah candles. Then to go to a celabration to light the first candle. I am coming to you by way of SITS. Hope you are tosty and warm where you live.
Hanukkah is one of the best holidays ever! Our family is not Jewish, but we celebrated Hanukkah each year when our children were young. It is truly a miraculous story and it boosts my faith each time I read it. Great Haiku! Are you going to publish a Haiku book to sell? Just a thought...
if sleep is your thing - go for it! what are you waiting on??? :)
Yes today is a special day - Berukah!
What a great idea! I'm all in for a Jo Bros Giveaway. SITS sent me by, and I'm glad they did!
The Sun Also Rises
Love the menorah and the Hanukkah haiku. My daughter bought a menorah for our home last year, and we enjoyed lighting it and reflecting on the elements of faith we share with our Jewish friends.
I love that you posted Hanukkah haikus. I'm not Jewish, but I love the story of Hanukkah. May we all enjoy a wonderful holiday season, no matter what holiday we celebrate!!
I love your Hanukkah haiku. Happy Hanukkah everyone.
Flash Dancing
happy hanukkah!
I love your Hanukkah Haiku.
Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends!
hugs.
It is funny that nobody wants that Jonas Brothers bag!
happy hanukkah! and Happy Friday! ;) and HAPPY WEEKEND {errr almost!!}
Great haikus! Your mug is cute, too :)
The kids favorite song from school last year was a Hanukkah song, looks like you got a wonderful mug :)
Thanks hon! I would rather have a cookie though...
Happy Hanukkah to you. I am not Jewish but I love the traditions of Hanukkah (well the small part I know about.)
Great haikus as always!
The odds are stacked in my favor for the Jonas Bros bag. Which means I won't win :)
Ahem
Jonas giveaway entry.
I think you did great, that mug is not too shabby at all!
I love your Hanukkah haikus. I love all holidays, and especially-all holiday food! I am very tolerant like that.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your Hannukah Haiku!!!!!
You know a couple of years ago, I asked a Jewish friend of mine if he had a children's book I could read to my children to teach them what Hannukah was all about. and with that, I, too, learned!
Have a great weekend!
While I would love to enter your giveaway, my eldest child errs on the side of Mr. Sister. THAT particular boy band does not hold the key to her heart...only to her self-claimed bleeding eardrums.
The haikus were marvelous, as always!
I love what Cynthia of Runnig with Letters wrote. I would have never thought of that idea myself but I love the idea of bringing a little bit of hanukkah in our house. This is a nice post.
Sick pup, sick boy, too many holiday to dos make blogging difficult. Just stopped by so you wouldn't look for me in the Obits. Have a great day, and love the Haiku as usual. Holly
Wow, you're GOOD with the Haikus!
Thank you for the Hanukkah haiku.
xo
I so so so enjoy stopping by and seeing what you've got going on. I hate to say it but my granddaughter would love that Jonas bag......pfffft! So...consider this a "Jonas Giveaway Entry".
I've missed checking in since I've been at the folks but I'm catching up.
Happy weekend!
Hmmm, I can't think of one person who likes the Jonas Brothers. So, I'm out of this giveaway.lol That mug is adorable!
This thread of comments is hilarious!
My youngset daughter loves the Jonas Brothers. She's glued to the Disney Channel every chance she can get!
(* My Entry)
Also, popping in from Midday Escapades Follow Me Link Up! Now following you...
There you go with your mad haiku skills again! I hope you had a good weekend.
Okay, I'll go for the "Jonas Give-a-way" because I have a seven year old, which is really the group of girls most interested in them.
