A reminder...You've been challenged! What's this week's theme?
Challenge, of course!
Seasonal Challenge
Advent is time for
Finding the Christ in Christmas.
Though "secular" tempts.
Hold fast and hold strong!
Prepare the way for our Lord!
Hope and joy awaits!

I love your haiku, Polly! I think we all need the reminder about what Advent and Christmas are really about and you're right, "secular" is there tempting us every step of the way.
Is your link to "you know...that blog" working? I have tried to go there to link up, but it's not taking me there....and I tried last week's, too....
I'm having trouble connecting to Jenn's blog this morning. The URL is http://youknowthatblog.com Sorry that the link isn't working. When Jenn's blog is up and running I'll be sure to make the necessary corrections. Thanks for the heads up Michelle!
I'm always impressed by Haikus....I'm sooo rubbish at them. Very nice indeed. x
I am not blessed with the haiku talent but this one was great!
that was great! i was so bummed to miss church on sunday b/c the baby girl was sick! i love being there esp at christmas! unfortunately SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE! darn holiday church goers!
Polly,
Great haiku! One of these days I'll be brave enough to attempt it...
I keep telling myself I will get into the Haiku Wednesdays and I don't...maybe I will be able to get my stuff together this afternoon.
BTW, great ones this week!
Polly, I love your haiku.
Do you hear sleigh-bells?
Could that be hoofs on the roof?
Jolly old Saint Nick!
I really liked that one. I have to say that even though I'm a Grinch and not in the holiday spirit, I do appreciate the true meaning of the holiday.
great post! we will do our best to keep the true meaning of Christmas in the season for our kids as they get older. how easy it is to get caught up in the presents, etc. and forget what it's all about.
Once again you rule!!
Pffft, your friends are feathered! What will it take to get them to join?! Well, besides money. Sorry. ;)
Yeah, my site was down for a bit this morning - the servers were attacked. Happens now and then, and it just happened at a time when our tech was en route to the office and couldn't deal with it immediately. All better now!!
Nice haiku, as always!
definitely challenging!
way to Polly!
What a wonderful way to give thanks during Christmas.
Love your Haiku.
Having some issues with my Blogger. Apparently I am not following any blogs so I don't have any updates....almost missed your Haiku Wednesday.
Lovely haiku! The holidays are so commercialized anymore...
Wonderful Haiku, I enjoy reading these :)
Hey Polly, just wanted to let you know I used your signature spice on my turkey this year. Oh my, it was so good. Cooked it in one of those large plastic turkey bags, added an onion to the cavity and a little chicken broth, then just let it go. Perfect!!
I love your haiku -- and just what I need to hear this season, boiled down to exactly what matters.
I wish I was creative enough for Haiku! but alas, I am doomed... :) How are you doing Polly?
I call you the queen of Haiku. Salute the queen...Holly
Beautiful Haikus as usual!
This is wonderful, Polly--I admire your ability to do this every week--I am not a poet!
Sweet !!
I love them both, but the first is very well put!
Awesome job, as usual!!!
Great job! I love visiting, and finding something new and old.
Christmas is special to all of our family. I love the holiday season.
I wasn't online much on Wednesday, but I've enjoyed your haikus!
Yesterday was busy, grandbabies galore.
So I'm late. Here goes.
A light in the sky
A star beckons from on high
Jesus, Light of Life
Okay. So is that 'you know that blog' thingey like a Mr. Linky?
Yeah. I'm from Georgia. That's the way we talk.
