A faraway friend, a faithful fellow,
Found o’er the fields down yonder,
Speaks in fables of fairytales
And fantastical fiction to ponder.
A faraway friend, fair of face,
Flustered by this flow of words,
Flees, flooded with the force of fear
When façade’s fake front is disturbed.
A faraway friend, a favored son
Filled with fervor from his God
Helps free that long forgotten soul
From the festering, fiendish fog.
From faraway friend, forgiveness earned,
Foundation of faith helps heal,
Fortitude now fuels desire
For the fresh future fate fondly yields.

fffffffffabulous...smiles. friends are cool like that...and good to have....
I've had one real friend like that, she has been gone about a yr now...but never forgotten.
I don't have friends like that, other than my best friend in heaven. :)
I can only echo fabulous.
very fondly written, perhaps it's more of a fantasy not reality but I believe such people exist even if we never meet them
This really leaves me speechless. I hope that everyone who participated in Alphabe-Thursday visits your blog to read it. It deserves recognition.
Very nice. I never thought I'll find friend like that, but I did 5 years ago and I love her to death.
I like to face the future with fondness and fortitude. Nicely done my fairweathered friend!
Are there really words in a comment that can do your poem justice? I think not! Fabulous will have to suffice.

I had a faraway friend, but he turned out to be a perv.... I said we could still be friends, though, just don't send me perverted stuff.
Fabulous friend poem.

Beautifully written, Polly! A friend like that is hard to find, and once found, it's forever remembered..

Wow.
I love this. This would be a perfect piece of poetry to send into a friendship magazine.
I really loved the alliteration and the sentimental.
Fabulous F post for Alphabe-Thursday.
