Haiku Wednesday

Join the fun!

This week's theme: Halloween

Boo! Scream! Screech! Squeal! RUN!
Ghastly goblins, ghouls, and ghosts
Tricking for our treats!

Thank goodness for faith!
All Saints' Day follows this 'eve.
Please pray for our souls!

You guys should know me by now...I had to add a faith based connection!

To participate in the weekly Haiku Wednesday posts, please click on the photo above and follow the directions. Can't wait for you to join us!

You know it's funny, we don't celebrate Halloween here at all. We just don't get it. But we do have All Saints and All Souls days right after Oct 31st. I'm glad you kept a little faith in it! :-)

Stopping by from SITS.

The English Teacher in me says you deserve an "A" for this Superior Haiku. SITS sent me by, and I'm glad they did!

Purple F...very nice indeed!

Lee...just jump right on in. I know you'll do well and probably have some of the most irreverent haiku around! I'd read it!

I will join you next week. I had busy day yesterday and I have hours of blogs to catch up on...did I mentioned that I love your Haiku Wednesdays?

SO MANY Haiku chickens in your reader list, Sister ;) Challenge them! Call them names!

Great haiku - love it!

I'm away next week, but I will have it set to publish as usual. Visits will probably be late, unless I'm online in the hotel at some point.

I'm not very good with haiku....I am glad you had fun with yours.... and even though I haven't been around here long, the faith connection doesn't surprise me a bit :)

I left a response for you over at my place. Thanks for stopping by!

Great haiku, Polly! Love how you combined the fun & creepiness of Halloween with the religious aspect of All Soul's Eve!

Thank you for reading my post at Willoughby's cocktail party. It's a fun & wonderful idea of hers, isn't it?

Do you really live right near a lighthouse? I adore them.

I was raised in a devout Catholic home and attended parocial grammar school, a catholic gir's high school, a Jesuit College and law school connected to a catholic college!

I love all your hobbies! I am a Jets fan, not sure if we're playing you this season.

It's very nice to meet you!

I enjoyed your Haiku, it's great how different haiku's bring out some characteristic of people. We learn so much about each other through so few words, some themes mean different things to different people - I love that!
