Another Sunday Meme?

OK, good.

Hello all! I am running a "test" post to see if there would be any interest in a new Sunday Meme, since we no longer have the Sunday 160, conceived, owned, and hosted by the one and only Monkey Man. My idea is to use a similar "micro-story" theme and call it Sunday Seven. I would love it, if you are interested, to indicate your interest in the comment section below. My idea is for all of us to write an expression, micro-story or poem in just 7 words...or tell a story in 7 pictures... As long as it conveys an idea, abstract or literal, fantastical or unbelievable, in 7 components, it's all good.

I am also testing out a Mr. Linky widget. Please help me test it out by placing a link to your current blog post on this widget. This is all new and a bit "high tech" for me, so if you can humor me, I'd appreciate your help.

fading fad from yesterday

Not so to Munchie Boy, my son,

another challenge overcome

With courage, strength, and will to boot

he found this dare quite a hoot

Onto pool’s ladder he did climb

carefully, taking his sweet time

Into position, body in air

Perfect planking upon a dare

Flash Friday 55: Boys Will be Boys

Hey Billy, see them girls?

Yeah Joey, the ones hogging the swings?

Them’s the ones.

Whatcha gonna do about it?

Dunno…maybe flick boogers at ‘em?

             Nah, they’d flick theirs back.

I know! We’ll make them run away like scaredy cats!

How we gonna do that?

Galen would not let me get away with "63 Words on Thursday" so I had to dig really deep for the proper muse for this week's attempt. My dear friend and colleague, Tiffany C., came to the rescue when she posted this photo on Facebook. I asked very nicely and she gave me permission to use it! And yes, the boys are doing exactly what it looks like they are doing. Anyway...that's all I have. I will be working the next 3 days and then I'm leaving for NYC next week. I will be sporadic in my posting and visiting. Looking forward to catching up when I get back.

Munchie had a minor surgical procedure yesterday. These were the words that came from his mouth when they gave him some oral sedation. He was too cute and I am pleased to say that everything went well. I will be working the next 3 days so will not have a chance to visit other participants in Flash Friday over at G-Man's place.
