I Must Be Crazy

It's official. I've gone off the deep end. Tell me what you think, okay.

About a year ago I had to deal with a few personal issues. During that time my weight dropped dramatically and my physician forbade me to do any aerobic exercise. My weight loss has since stabilized and I'm itching to be active again. So what did I do? Did I enroll in a beginner's yoga class? Or begin a body toning/strengthening course? Of course not. What I did, however was sign up to participate in this years Primal Challenge (aka "mud run", obstacle course). I have 72 days to train for this event. My family must be nuts, too. Mr. Sister and Bethany will be joining me as well. With that said, I'm heading out the door for my first run in months. If you don't hear from me again, send help, okay?

Since you've got family doing the crazy with you, I figure it's ok. If you were on your own though? I wouldn't even know what to say about that.

Why yes, you are quite mad. Seems the only sane one in the family is the young lad. What the heck is wrong with him? Why isn't he joining in the insanity of the Primal Challenge? Sounds ideal for a boyo.

Consider yourself crazy if that run you're about to take isn't to the Dairy Queen or the bakery, etc., etc. LOL!

Husband is doing one himself at the end of this month, I think he is crazy for wanting to do it. I prefer my cardio activity in a nice, air conditioned gym, thank you very much!

I think you will know if you aren't ready. Besides you have the support of lots of other family members that will carry you if you get tired!

I don't think you're crazy, I think it's awesome! Listen to what your body says, and let that guide you. You do have your doc's approval, right? Go have fun! I can't wait to see you covered in mud and smiling like crazy!
