Flash Friday 55: Working Hard

I worked so terribly hard.
I was spinning my wheels.
Never did I get to the scheduled therapies
as every type of emergency situation imaginable
kept me from my appointed rounds.
Shear exhaustion took hold of me.
It's a darn shame I had to wake up
and get ready for work in the real world!

I am participating in Flash Friday 55. This weekly meme is brought to you by G-Man, over at Mr. Know it All. The object is to write a story or prose in exactly 55 words. Come join us and link your 55 in Mr. Know it All's comment section. See you there!

You dream? I have stories spoken in my head with the genre suggesting the visuals. The action-adventure is the worse - the dog gets fed up of the kicks and sleeps on the floor. And even the wife stops snoring. Here's mine

It's bad when your dreams compete with your work life.

You know you're working too hard when it invades your dreams.

(WORK = 4-letter word)

Oh I hate dreams like that! It's like . . . being at work twice as long!

Still having those wild dreams, huh, Polly?

I had one of those sponsored-by-the-workplace slumbers myself the other night--very vivid, very horrific :)

What a nightmare! To have to get up from such an exhausting night only to face work.

I used to have dreams about work all the time and it bothered me that I wasn't getting paid to dream them.

I've had those exhausting dreams before too. Glad I am not alone. Hope you are having a great Sunday!

Hi. I found my way here from "Unknown Mami," who I also just found, who called you an excellent writer. I love good writing, so I popped over to visit.

I have to say I agree. Terrific 55!
