Sensational Haiku Wednesday: Reality

Living, dream to dream.
Not wanting to awaken
and feal what is real.

For what's truly real
is what's too painful to face.
Dreaming keeps me sane.

Time to own my "truth".
From slumber's depth I arise
confronting demons.

Ever so bravely
I must struggle to now be.
Come reality.

Even when you're sick, you've still got it!

Wow, nicely done! I really hope that you aren't facing too many demons in your reality though... :(

For me, I think it's the opposite - my dreams are more disturbing lately than my reality.

You're not feeling well? Hope that passes quickly!!

Sorry you've been ill! I hope you are feeling "real" again soon!

I rarely have dreams, but don't you hate when it's a good one and you wake up before it's over?!

That is beautiful. Hope you are feeling better!

Another amazing job!

Love the lines about "time to own my own truth" and "dreaming keeps me sane." So true. Beautifully put, as usual!

"For what's truly real/is what's too painful to face." Nothing so true as this ever written.

I didn't go all haiku, but I did post a poem I wrote a long time ago today. It's my new Wednesday format (for now).

Deep and somber. Your haikus always sound like you're working through some big issues...! But always well written!
