Sensational Haiku Wednesday-Comfort Zone

Actual family photo taken on the beaches of Ocho Rios, Jamaica, 2008

Caribbean Comfort

Bone chilling rain falls.
Dark, damp, dreary days ahead.
Jamaica calls me!

Rum drinks on beaches,
Warm weather; exotic food.
Cabana boys, too!

But until return,
I will have to make do with
My Snuggie instead!

Photo actually taken within the confines of the Sister House

Lovely warm haiku. Very much needed for today. I am watching the black clouds of today's second hit approaching. Brrr!

Yowsa! I could use a stay in Jamaica too! I haven't been back in about 20 years. I think the rum on the beach is probably why I don't recall half of that trip, either ;)

Good ones!

(fixed the link - you had an extra "l" on the end of the html. No biggie!)

Ah, Jamaica. Good times! All-inclusive (including drinks!) It doesn't get better than that! Yah Mon!

I'm sitting here reading your haikus. The kids just yelled, "It's snowing!" I said, "Yeah, right!" But, no, sure enough--the sun's out, but there are flurries flying around. How I wish I was actually in your haiku!! I need some warmth around here; it's always so hard to imagine that in a few months it'll be hot and muggy!

Rum on the beach! That just screams sunstroke to me. I hope the cabana boys know CPR ;)

Ha! You made me chuckle...cabana boys. Love it! Oh, and I really want a snuggie! I refuse to buy one for myself but I keep dropping hints to the hubs. Unfortunately he hasn't bought me one, yet. Maybe Valentine's Day?

It's actually cold here in Texas so that picture makes me long for some warm weather. I still don't own a snuggie and I feel like the only person on the planet who doesn't. I'm 38 and still succumbing to peer pressure.

I must be weird, but a cold dark rainy day with a cup of coffee and fire going is more comforting to me.

Oh you people and your Snuggies.

Mmmm...warm weather and mixed rum drinks. Takes me back.

I'm thirsty now.

I'm thinking about trying Haiku for one of my Thursday Tackles, but I wasn't brave enough to start tomorrow. I tried stay under 55 words instead.

We love us our Snuggies too!

Jamaica sounds good right about now, but we are in the thick of a major snow storm. I think to make myself feel better about it, I'm going to make some hot cocoa :)
Lovely photo of you and the family!

On a day like this Jamaica sounds perfect. Heck, I'd even go back to Aruba.
