Flash Friday 55: Dawn

I discovered this meme at The Wizard of Otin, who discovered it from
G-Man at Mr. KnowItAll. The challenge is to write and tell a story in 55 words. Since it is a dark and dreary day and I had no post planned, I decided to take that challenge. Please let me know if it's a fail or not.

Dreams fade,
leaving fuzzy remnants at edge of consciousness.

Senses shift.
Synapses spark.
Body stirs.
Slowly, deliberately,
becoming aware of surroundings.

From slumbering to struggling then stumbling
into the dawn of a new day.

A fresh beginning,
bright and beguiling.

Pleas are prayed.
Promises are pledged.

Whether expectations are met,
day is fulfilled.

Sleep.
Repeat.

I think it's a hit! I've seen this on other blogs and I'm always impressed with how much people can say in just 55 words. Great job!

Your head must be full of wonderful thoughts all the time. I think you accomplished what you set out to do. You are a constant amazement to me.....you and my daughter Jessica have such a fluid way with words.
Great (and dry and warm) weekend, dear friend.
Hope you're feeling better today.

It can't be failed! It's a wonderful go go..Very wonderful!

(On a different note, the wonton wrappers can be found in International foods section of local grocery, and they're very easy to mold or shape. It's like a ready made dough. Let me know how yours turn out!)

Thanks for stopping by!

I like the fuzzy line. I always feel that way after a great dream, but they always fade in my memory and become fuzzy!

I'm up right HERE

Hello SITS-tah girl! Well done on your 55 words. I read it twice, then once again slowly. I felt like you got my waking up experience. That was cool! You "saw" me as they say in the "Avatar" movie.
