Beauty in a Box

This is what I brought home the other day.
Bronzed French Roast.

What promises lay within?
Instantaneous beauty?
Alluring sex appeal?
Self confidence and esteem?

Oh yeah, I could use some, if not all, of the above.

I spent an hour, Monday morning,
diligently following the directions to a "t".
This is the result.

Am I rocking the look or what?
Notice I am attempting the same sultry stare of the model on the box.
Unfortunately I think I ended up looking either sleepy or nauseated instead.
Oh well, at least the grey is covered for the time being.

May this be a lesson that true beauty comes from what is inside,
not from a box!

I LOVE your humor! I think they need to just put the blog post on the box- :)

I was just cursing out Andie MacDowell for her stupid L'Oreal hair color. What grays?!
These grays! These ones right here that are already poking out even though I just colored my hair four days ago! You can shove your haircolor up your bum sideways, Andie, it doesn't work!

I like your picture much better than the model's. You look like a haunted Victorian lady, probably drifting around the parlor of Gateshead, or something. I'd put you in a locket, for sure.

I thought Franzia was beauty in a box? Oh, wait, that's a different kind of beauty.

... and you wonder why I get mixed signals!!! What I'm reading as your come hither look, is probably just gas!

LOL. When I color my own hair my bathroom ends up looking like a crime scene.

PS Your husband's comment is hysterical.

Did it actually cover it? I can't find a single one that will cover my gray! Mine are obviously obnoxious grays that resist any attempt to disguise or transform them.

That color looks fantastic on you! The name of it makes me want a cup of coffee, though.

I love your husband's comment! Very funny!

I am soooooooo overdue in coloring my hair. I wanted to let the lighter summer color grow out, but it's left me with medium brown hair (with some gray mixed in) from my scalp to about halfway down the length. After that, it's a sort of blondish color I had for summer. It's a reverse skunk look and not very attractive.

In between hockey games and construction projects, our house is becoming a do it yourself beauty school. I've got my husband watching hair colouring videos on the Miss Clairol web site so he can learn how to touch up my roots. And this past weekend I had my 11 year old son learning to hot wax my the back of my husband's neck.

P.S. Your hair looks great.

the color looks great on you! beauty def. is NOT from a box--i once highlighted my hair and pretty much turned it orange. def. not beautiful.

Hee hee!! You are a braver woman than I!

lovely when beauty shines from the inside out - how do you do that :)

ain't that the truth , and you look beautiful ! that reminds me I need to get some touch ups myself . My gray is growing back and I hate when that happens lol

You are brave, very brave!! You will not catch me doing such a post in 2 weeks when I have to re-cover my gray.

I just about peed my pants on Joe's comment though, and that would not be good. I would hate to leave my nice warm office to head home in this snow storm and have my pee soaked pants freeze on.

Although your hair color didn't turn out the same way as the photoshop glossy picture on the box, it still looks nice and real. These fancy coffee names really are a marketing scam.

You always make me laugh. True beauty does come form the inside...but you are rocking it...a little box always helps me too!

I think the color came out very pretty. I believe in beauty from a hair color box. I don't even remember my really hair color.

I don't know...that first chick is obviously airbrushed, and she has terrible posture. I mean, look at how she's leaning way over to the left...I guess one leg is shorter than the other. How I pity her... ;)

That color looks lovely on you! I'm currently sporting the three-tone look myself!

Love the color! I'll give you 8/10 for the sultry-wanna-be look. If only you had switched on a fan or stood in front of one, then you'd get that fly-away hair look and clinched the remaining 2/10 score from me! :D

I think you look great in that color, and the sultry pose is more natural than the model one. Oops, you're the model :-)
