Flash Friday 55: What I Learned This Week

There are facts of life that many learn while quite young. Then there are those where it takes a whole lifetime. For example, this is what I came to know earlier this week: It is particularly freeing when one comes to realize that you cannot change others. You can only change your response to them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am participating in Flash Friday 55, a meme hosted by our very own Mr. Know it All (aka G-Man). The purpose is to write a story or prose in exactly 55 words, no more, no less. Care to join the fun? Just link up in G-Man's comment section.
Very true. I have a running list of "The Secrets of Life" and that's definitely on it.
Yep. I picked that one up in my late 20's. Now and then, especially with my kids, I have to remind myself.
This is the best use of 55 words I've seen. It's stunning to finally "get it" isn't it?
Hangin' on to that knowledge becomes the work. That's easier in my book.
Oh yeah! And I come to that realization at least once a day! I'm always learning and growing, trying to change me.
How true. I came to that realization in last year or so and I am much happier person now.
Sometimes I think it is just as hard to change myself.
Wise words. We can only control our actions and reactions. Attitude is everything.
Amen to that. I've tried to teach that to my kids, but it's so easy to forget when you're in the moment.
