Fly me to the moon
sweet Silver
she softly sighs
My dear Blue
light-though tempting
is my demise
Heartbroken
they murmur
reluctant goodbyes

Although I've seen "sigh" and "goodbye" linked I-don't-know-how-many times, I think "demise" fits in there perfectly, LOL. Great take on the prompt!

Way to go! And a perfect pic too.
Cheers, jj
Great job with the poetry for this one-alas, I did not attempt it, but I'm glad someone did!
Nice rhyming, Polly. Your heroine has high standards and high expectations. Those are the usual criteria for 'tough love' as we see here.
..
This is a great take on the pic for the day! Really sad, but beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Took one look at that picture last week and ran screaming. Bless you for making it work. You managed to stay out of the sci-fi realm. Truly amazing.
Loved the poetry too, I wish I was as good as you are at it.
Nicely done!
It's nice to know that Mothman knows his limitations! Good one.
Have a great week. Cheers.
LOVED IT! although it is a sad poem as they have to say goodbye. Very nice and descriptive.
Excellent work! I'm a sucker for anyhting to do with unrequited love (don't know why, as my love is requited. Past life?)
Have a great week.
*sigh* If only they could have played amongst those stars...(CLICK!)
awww - the perfect notta - match
my romance is a little off
A tad sad but lovely words.....
Love this one. Great picture you paired with it.
Have a great week ahead!

What is that three fingered thing?!
I especially adore the last verse :O)
wonderful polly...very eloquent
she definitely has that adoring look!
thanks.
And such is life. Although I'd never have thought of it with the local monster. ;) Nice.
Now you need toset it to music!
One just never knows where Love will appear. Wasn't it Tennyson that said? "Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all". Fun look at Susan's picture
What an unusual picture! Your poetry fits it just perfectly!
It's just so silly to envision any type of conversation between them!
A romantic but poignant 55. I like it. :)
Oh, very sad!
I nearly spurted ice tea out my nose when i read your blogging profile! LOL
I too am "wannabe" artist - writing for me, i would like to run... but don't take the time to get back into shape and the kicker! A fellow Carolina Panther fan! Wahahaha - man what a tough year this year. We won't know which direction things will go until A) the collective bargaining agreement is reached, B) the (re)sign the free agents, C) they hire a new coach, and D) we get into the next season. LOL.
I liked your MFM story... a sad ending though. Alas, it was not meant to be.
God bless. \o
Thanks for visiting, so I could discover your blog. It's fascinating and very well done. You've got a new follower.
I hope I can keep you laughing over at Life by Chocolate.

So sad! And lovely.
Too, too lovely.... and sad too. :O)
He's right. There love really wouldn't survive the light of day.
ahhhh the romance of it all
Perfect romance for the mismatched couple. You spun the poetry trail so nicely! :>
Enjoyable MFM'S. Thank you
oh, thats awesome :-) I love it!
They have to go separate ways? How sad!
Such pathos in that poem. Good one.
MY goodness...be still my heart~~!
