Flash Friday 55: Out of the Closet

Pressure steadily rises.

Suddenly, without warning, the closet doors burst forth.

Its contents spew across the floor, wreaking havoc within its wake.

Hundreds of stuffed animals come scurrying out

of their secret hiding place (beneath the bed).

Sigh.

There's no putting it off.

Looks like another job for Super Mommy

and her incredible side kick, Munchie Boy!

BEFORE

AFTER

The room is looking much bigger!

Bet you think we're hiding the mess behind the curtains

Wrong!
There is now actual room for Munch to sleep in his own bed!

I am participating in Flash Friday 55. This weekly meme is brought to you by G-Man, over at Mr. Know it All. The object is to write a story or prose in exactly 55 words. Come join us and link your 55 in Mr. Know it All's comment section. See you there!

Polly...
This reminds me of an old radio program called Fibber McGee and Molly. His hall closet was a disaster!
Loved your 55 My Friend.
Always an excellent contribution from you ...
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G

What else is the space under the bed for? If you ever get a spare weekend, I'll be glad to put you up for a few nights so you can help me organize. I do need help!
That looks like such a great comfortable room. I love the curtain on the bed.

I like the 'before' photo - gives it that 'played-in' look :)

I have an 8 year old and a 2 year old - double the fun - but double the mess!

Yes tidy and looking bigger so true. Our bedroom always takes on palatial airs when the clothes go to sleep in the wardrobes. My 55 here

I can see this as a metaphor for writing. When it becomes too much to hold inside that one has to spew out.

The words clutter within the mind and one day, they are split out in writing. Ah! what calm and what craft!

Have a fantastic weekend Polly :)

Joy always,
Susan

I LOVE the bunk beds. Those are just the kind I want to get for my boys.

When I do that, I just want to stand there and look for a long, long time.

Wonderful transformation! I wish my kids' rooms looked like that! Any sort of modification I've done has been instantly undone...very discouraging :(

First, that is a totally cute room! Second, what a huge difference and way to go Super Mommy and Munchie Boy! When you come to a town near me, let me know, I could use your help!

: )
I just did something similar in our playroom for my kids, but only when mine were away with thier Dad... they help but sometimes you just have to get in there and take care of it. Plus, don't tell the kids, but I often remove some of the stuff and they never know if they don't see it leaving! : )
I always take a before picture b/c when I am done, I can't beleive what a difference it makes when everything is actually put away... even in the corners(and it's amazing how much can be pushed into any corner)! : )
It certainly doesn't happen everyday at our house!
nice job! : )

...stuffed animals come scurrying out...GREAT line! Funny, we cleaned YellowBoy's room this week. Discovered he really does have a floor under all that crap.

If Munchie Boy is anything like my boys were, good that you took a picture to remember it by when it's gone tomorrow.

I’m up here.

My brothers had bunk beds when they were growing up and I was always jealous. I'd love my girls to have bunk beds---assuming they want to continue sharing a room later on.....

You did a great job!
