Alphabe-Thursday: The Letter Z

Jenny Matlock

Zipping o'er the alphabet

From Alpha through to Zed

Finding a voice forgotten

Long thought to be quite dead

Zig-Zagging aloft on Zephyr's breath

Towards my own sweet Zen

The strum of Zither's chords

Serenade my journey's end

A survivor's song now written

My Zest for life unfolds

In tales of past transgressions

My Zenith to behold.

You have done such an amazing job every week. I know I've told you that every time but I truly meant it. I don't know how each week you were able to come up with a poem with so many words with the letter of the week. I was always in awe.

Polly, it seems that each week you just totally speak to me with your work. Your talent is quite the gift, and I'm your faithful reader.

Polly, I hope you'll take each of these and put them together in a book. I think you could publish it!
Enjoyed each one. Thanks for sharing your talents.

Was zapped. Come on, who can write something on Z like this. Truly brilliant. Tell me how much time did you spend on this one? How do you usually write this?

Joy and love,
Susan

I like the idea of turning the past upside down and looking at it a new way. I never considered it a "zenith" but maybe it is.

Well done - and another writer was bang on when she/he said you should put these all together in a collection.

Polly, what a wonderful conclusion to reading your posts throughout Alphabe-Thursday.

I loved this link. It spoke to me. And not in that crazy schizo woman kinda way that is frightening, but more so in the heart-warming way that occurs when I read your writing.

Thank you for linking!

A+
