Alphabe-Thursday: The Letter X

Jenny Matlock

"X" marks the particular spot

Where Cupid's arrows aimed, then shot,

Piercing the lovers' hardened hearts.

Her eyes eXamined his face anew.

EXcited, delighted, his ardor grew.

EXpectations eXpose a fresh new start.

In love's embrace their dreams become bold,

EXalting in one another's hold.

Two souls...eXorcised when demons depart.

Dear Polly,
Sigh.
You did it again!
X is a terribly difficult letter.
And still you pulled it off!
Great little X-poem!
Best wishes,
Anna

X is a hard one. Your is clever as usual. "eXpectations eXpose a fresh new start" - my favorite line.

I have actually enjoyed seeing everyone's take on X. What is Jenny going to do when the alphabet is over?

Well, well, well. When I saw it was already time for 'X' I wasn't sure you'd be able to pull it off. I should have known better.
No wonder you're worn out these days! It must be quite a burden to be carrying all those words around in your head.
You never disappoint with your posts.
Great job.
Have you ever been to Hilton Head?
