Silly Haiku Wednesday - Changes

Image is from the book cover of Memory
by Phillipe Grimbert

Changes

Hiding from myself
Within depths of subconscious.
Buried, forgotten.

But the Light shines forth,
Awakening the lost child
To find her way home.

I would like to thank my daughter, Bethany, for penning the last line.
For me, it was the perfect ending to this introspective haiku.
I hope you enjoyed it.

I'm confused. (hush, that wasn't nice!) You say silly haiku but I thought that poignant and beautiful.

I'd buy that book for the cover only. I don't care what's in it; that picture is awesome.

polly,

this one made me tear up. amazing that its length is not proportional to its depth of meaning. fabulous job!

Good for Bethany and for you! This reminds me of the scene at the end of "To Kill a Mockingbird" when Scout is holding hands with Boo as she walks him home. "It's alright now, Mr. Arthur, you can come out now!"

This was wonderful. I often feel like a child deep inside who gets lost on her way home from being a mother, wife, friend, daughter... forget to be Jillien sometimes!

Thank you for sharing this awesome and personal poem!

These are so warm and heartfelt. You are so telling, I believe, what is going on in your life right now in this time of sorrow. But the best part is you know your pain will be eased, never forgotten. :) Well done my friend :)
