Monday Musings-January 11, 2010

Dear Carolina Panthers,

I missed you yesterday. I hope you're somewhere warm soaking up all of the sunshine. It still feels like the arctic tundra over here. We're looking forwards to the tropical heat wave predicted by mid week. Highs in the 50's? Whoo Hoo! Bikini weather for sure! (Not that I would ever be brave enough to wear one!)

Stay warm,

Mrs. Sister

Dear Bethany,

Mommy is so very proud of you! Why?
1.  You stood up for what's right and let your moral compass guide you.
2.  You've grown into quite a remarkable young lady.
3.  And the straight A's were just icing on the cake.
Well done, Sweet Cheeks!

Love,
Mommy

Dear Mr. Virus,

Go away! Now! I have not appreciated the major headache for the past 3 days. Nor have I enjoyed the extreme fatigue that has gone along with this. Or those waves of nausea. I'm not having any of it! You've overstayed your welcome and I'm kicking you out. Sayanora you miserable, annoying, punky, evil, vile, unwelcome scum bucket that you are. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Not at all yours (don't even THINK about it!),

The 5th

Awards Monday

Thank you, Erin (from Cultivating Rosebuds) for my lemonade stand. I love this award. I take it to mean that when life throws you lemons, make lemonade!  Although I have received this award prior (see here and here for my nominees) it is something that never goes out of style. Thank you my newest blogging friend! And for those who do not know Erin, please take a moment to check out her blog. She's such a sweetie!

On a final note: Do you want to know why I walk Daisy before the sun comes up?

I don't want to scare the neighbors, that's why!

Your daughter has become a lovely young lady - so pretty!

I am cracking up over that picture of you!! LMAO!!

You need a little sign to go with your dog walking outfit. "Homeless and Hungry". Daisy would fetch you a little bit extra.

I like how Jephy's Mom thinks!

I am proud of both our children! Paul did had a swim meet yesterday where he swam faster on his back for 100 yds than on his front (freestyle) for that same distance. Granted, he did have a piece of pizza before the freestyle which slowed him down! I feel bad about that.

You know....I'm not missing football all that much this year. I guess the Chiefs sub-par performance for many years running has done that to me. Oh well.

Bethany is beautiful!

Have a wonderful Monday!

I have been fighting that same funky feeling myself, with out the stomach upset. I am very ready for it to be gone too.

And we are expecting those same balmly 50 degree breezes this week ourselves - but I will avoid the bikini as well, even shorts, not with these white legs.

50?
Aren't you lucky?
I'm almost happy that we might see 35 today!

Your own photo cracked me up!

Yeah, well we'll be missing the Packers next week Sunday.

You're daughter should be a model. I agree A's are just icing on the cake.

I slept all weekend too. I think my migraine is gone.

I'm not up that early, so I won't see you.

Okay, now. So did you see what the Cowboys did? Unfortunately I'll be over at the folks' home in Columbus so I might not get to see them play. Pffssst!

I'm so looking forward to the weather at the end of the week. We're supposed to be like 57 or so! That's balmy comparing.
Have a good Monday, dear friend. Loving you today. You crack me up.

Straight A's!? I'm so jealous! You've got a smarty pants on your hands.lol And that picture of you is adorable!Haha, I love it.=]

regarding your note: exactly! if people would forget about spoiling their kids instead of truly loving them, they would do a much bigger service to them in the long run. Kids need to be able to stand on their own, otherwise, as adults, they will never make it! And that is the generation that is supposed to be taking care of us in the future! With the way society is going, that is very scary!

I really enjoyed this post. It sounds like you have a great daughter with a good head on her shoulders. You should be proud. In fact, give yourself one of those awards! I loved the early morning photo of you. I have to admit that I chuckled, but that's only because I look a heck of a lot worse in the mornings.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. You've stopped by before. I appreciate your return visit. :)
