May He Rest in Peace

Photo from September 2009

Laurus William Magill, Junior
November 30, 1948 - January 6, 2010

Beloved husband to my sister Carrie for nearly 41 years.
Devoted father to Daniel and Mark.
An avid outdoorsmen who loved to hunt and fish.
A man who truly lived life to the fullest.

Larry, you will be greatly missed.

God our Father
Your power brings us to birth.
Your providence guides our lives
and by Your command we return to dust.

Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family,
relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.

In company with Christ,
Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom,
where all our tears are wiped away.
Unite us together agin in one family,
to sing Your praise forever and ever.

Amen

What a gift of memories a good friend leaves behind!

I hope to be more sociable in 2010 -- thanks for not giving up on me!

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Rv 21:4

Thanks for the compliment, I have to say my mother's genes blessed me with the skin, I owe it all to her, I am thankful for it because I really don't do much to deserve it.

Oh, and I think will edit the decade entry and see if I can find a picture of me ten years ago (38 instead of 48), might be interesting to compare, I think it would be much better now, lol!

For Larry's family:

This is something I used at a service for one of the children I'd taken care of. I hope it brings you peace. Weezer

A loved one is a tareasure of the heart, and losing a loved one is like losing a piece of yourself. But the love that this person brought you did not leave, for the essence of the soul lingers. It cannot escape your heart, for it has been there forever.
Cling to the memories and let them find their way to heal you. The love and laughter, the joy in the togetherness you shared, will make you strong. You'll come to realize that your time together, no matter how long, was meant to be and that you were blessed to have such a precious giftg of love in your life.
Keep your heart beating with the loving memories, and trust in your faith to guide you through. Know that, though life moves on, the beauty of love stays behind to surround and embrace you. Your loved one has left you that...to hold in your heart forever.

So hard to say goodbye isn't it?! I know where your heart is, and together we know the truth of what is next to come. May that give you and your family comfort that he was never truly dead, but always and forever alive in Christ. Praying for you. Holly
