Flash Friday 55: Boys Will be Boys

Hey Billy, see them girls?
Yeah Joey, the ones hogging the swings?
Them’s the ones.
Whatcha gonna do about it?
Dunno…maybe flick boogers at ‘em?
             Nah, they’d flick theirs back.
I know! We’ll make them run away like scaredy cats!
How we gonna do that?
Do what I do, Billy, and those swings are ours!

Galen would not let me get away with "63 Words on Thursday" so I had to dig really deep for the proper muse for this week's attempt. My dear friend and colleague, Tiffany C., came to the rescue when she posted this photo on Facebook. I asked very nicely and she gave me permission to use it! And yes, the boys are doing exactly what it looks like they are doing. Anyway...that's all I have. I will be working the next 3 days and then I'm leaving for NYC next week. I will be sporadic in my posting and visiting. Looking forward to catching up when I get back.

Cracks me up! I just shake my head when the boys (age 21 and up) have to pee outside!

ha ha ha! Do boys ever really change?!

And then the sensible girls laughed out loud and said: "Is that the best you can do?" and kept on swinging!

Great laugh you gave me!

My 55 are here

And those little tricks work! I've run from boys many times!

I love Morning AJs comment! Being a sensible girl myself, and all. I never did understand my son's fascination with peeing in the backyard. Fortunately, he outgrew that - as far as I know, at least...

Truly a rather suspicious placement of hands on those boys. I prefer to think it wasn't exposure, but the intimidating stare that was their ploy. Great 55.

Yeah, boys just hate it when a girl reciprocates on the same score, though. When I'm on a roped glacier team (mountaineering) for eighteen hours straight, it makes for some kind of moment the first time my (always male) climbing partners figure out that yes, indeed, companies DO make things like pee funnels for girls.

And yes, that means we too can pee standing up.

Probably TMI, but seemed to fit with your theme pretty well. Cooties? In spadesssssss... :)

Well...the girls can always tell them to piss off!

Too funny ~ and reminders of days gone past with my own kids (3 gross boys and 2 screamy-mimi girls)!

Have a safe trip ~ will look for you upon your return.

I know those two! They tried messin' with me when I was on the swings! They went home cryin' to their mamas! Bullies are cowards.

Wow! If they were older, they'd really be in trouble. I love their outfits. One looks like a superhero and the other one is rockin' quite the dapper hat.

LOL! Ha, I wrote about youthful thoughts, just on the opposite side of the scale! Oh, I just love yours, though...

Boys, always bragging about what they can do that we can't.
