He's Okay and That is What Matters Most

Mr. Sister was in a terrible automobile accident this evening. On the Interstate. During rush hour. His car is totaled. He, however, is okay, praise God! Just a little ringing in his right ear but no bumps, bruises or obvious injury. Just a little shook up. I'll be keeping a close eye on him to monitor him for any signs of whiplash or concussion. If you are so inclined, please keep him in your prayers.

Here is what happened. He was keeping a safe distance between himself and the car in front of him when a driver swerved into his lane and then immediately stepped on her brakes. Mr. Sister had to step on his. He skidded. The car at fault hit the car in front of her. He hit her car and was then rear ended by another who fled the scene of the accident. We will be going to the auto body shop tomorrow to get a full assessment of the damage. We're sure it's totaled since it is a '97 Nissan Maxima with over 100,000 miles on it. Thank God for insurance! I'll keep you all posted of events as they unfold.

Praise God that the Mister is okay! I'm so relieved for you, but am so sorry for the frightening ordeal nonetheless. I hope your hubs is feeling back to his old self soon, and that your insurance is good to you on your car. Warmest wishes and plenty of prayers, Jenn

I am so sorry this happened, Polly, but it sure sounds like it could have been so much worse. I am glad that Pelican Joe is OK, and hope that you are able to get a new car soon!

What a blessing that Mister wasn't hurt! Praise be and Alleluia. A car can be replaced but Mister is a one-of-a-kind. Of course, prayers that things will continue to be alright and that there's no residual affects. Please, do, keep us posted.

Sad that someone's impatience, carelessness or sheer stupidity caused such a mess. The car is totaled but that's what you have insurance for, so you don't have to worry about that, just about what matters the most.

Goes without saying but I'm glad he's okay.

Thank God Mr is okay! You all are in my thoughts and prayers!

May I give a word of caution though? Watch for signs even several months down the road! My father was in an accident last year and they thought all was well - until 6 mos later. His eye sight started to become fuzzy so he went to eye doc and they immediately sent him to hospital for CT. Here he ended up with a blood clot on brain from the trauma. Thank the Lord, they were able to remove the clot and he is back to his old self, but had we not found it :o(

sorry for being a debbie downer

I forgot to mention that in order to exit his car he had to climb through the window! He said he felt like a NASCAR driver!
