You know, the bare tree and the dining room full of boxes?
Allow me to share with you the end result.
I realize the beads are a bit much
but Bethany really likes them
so they stay!
Yes...my dining room DOES have a floor.
There are a few decorations we own that I absolutely adore.
Even though I pared down my decorating this year,
these are a must each and every Christmas.
The Lennox Manger set from Mr. Sister's aunt
My "Saint Nicholas" nutcracker
The little yarn Santas that used to adorn my childhood tree
Ooooh...more nutcrackers.
I <3 nutcrackers.
The Santa my nephew made over 25 years ago.
The safety pin angel a home care patient
of mine crafted.
Our Jingle Bell Rockin' Santa.
It plays Jingle Bell Rock
and dances and spins around.
So dorky but adorable!
The Santa Bethany made out of a paver.
Pure awesomeness.
The wreath that has graced our front door
since Bethany was a baby.

As Christmas approaches I have no choice but to pare down my blogging. I apologize if I haven't had a chance to visit you. My work has been quite busy ('tis the season to be wheezin') and the hectic pace of the holidays have me completely swamped. My hope is to be back in full blogging mode by the beginning of the New Year. In the meantime, I'll pop in periodically as I am able.
God bless you all! Whatever holiday you celebrate, may it be filled with warmth, love and laughter in the bosom of family and friends.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful decorations. Your tree is gorgeous, and I'm with Bethany about the beads. Finishing touch IMHO. Merry Christmas, Polly!
I love that you shared your Christmas ornaments, and their history. It's a once a year treasure to bring them out of boxes and give them life once again.
By the way, I love the beads!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Gorgeous Christmas tree and wonderful ornaments, Polly!
Happy Holidays..
your tree rocks polly...we have 213 nutcrackers that have invaded our house...no joke...37 years worth...
Polly - I'm impressed. We did the decorating put all away had a party and I still feel in disarray.
I <3 nutcrackers too
You are entitled to a blogging break

Merry Christmas!
Yay! You are all adorned. I loved to see your special tree ornaments.
I love me some before and after shots. You done good.
Thanks for the close-ups of some of your favorites.
Merry & Happy to you and yours.
That looks so pretty. I like the beads on your tree as well.
Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family!
Beautiful tree!!! Ours is blue and silver...so it's interesting that yours is kind of opposite-ish!!! (We have beads, too (in silver)...because I think our tree looks naked without them!)
And I absolutely LOVE your nativity/manger set. That is always my favorite! It's beautiful!!!
Tacha <3s nutcrackers, too. It started when she was around 3 or 4 and has only strengthened. I don't know why...we had NO nutcrackers before she started loving them!
I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas, dear friend!!! Love ya!!!
I think the beads are fantastic!!!! All your decorations are. And isn't it a pleasure when you can see the floor again :-)
Enjoy the holidays with your family, blogging can wait.
Merry Christmas to you and yours, xo jj
Wow I love your Christmas tree and ornaments!
Here's wishing you and yours all the joys of the season.
Merry Christmas!

Ornaments and decorations that have sentimental value are the best!!! Nicely done.
Your tree is beautiful! I cherish the ornaments my kids made when they were in primary school. I love the hand-made ornaments and decorations that you display each year because of who made them.
Hope you had a delightful Christmas.
I'm so glad you were surrounded by such joy and beauty this holiday season. Evern single day does make difference. Hugs and joy!
