L is for Legacy

Leaning in, she
Loosens layers
Latched to his heart

Listening quietly
To laments
Of loneliness

Bare, his soul lay
Lost, lusting for love
Longing for hope

How so like him
She learns is she
Laboring for similar things

Belief whispers gently
Never too late it is
To receive what is lacking

Lovelorn, lost as well
Lending him her lips
Limbs entwine

Lure strong, powerful
Legacy launched
Lives eternally linked

Is this linked? How did I miss this earlier? And I'm so glad I didn't miss it totally because it is amazing.

Liked the first stanza, nice use of alliteration throughout.

Indeed, a beautiful use of alliteration—like a tidal wave of L-sounds energizing the lines. Nice write!

Loads of L's here, but my favorites:

"Loosens layers
Latched to his heart"

- and, of course:

"Lending him her lips
Limbs entwine"

Polly
I always love your way with words. A fantastic piece - two lost with the hope to be launched in love

You are always up to par my friend - I hope you submit for the anthology (can only have been a OSW submit tho)

Love to you from the Moon
