Graceful

Oh, what a vision of beauty and grace!
A woman, out for a run with her black lab.
Two of them just hitting their stride.

That is,
until
Daisy
decided
to
stop
dead
in
her
tracks.

Oh I was a beauty all right,
falling flat onto the pavement.
(I hope no one saw)

Daisy...that hurt!

A 48 year old woman should not have to nurse scuffed up knees.

Daisy Update

I posted last Monday that Daisy had to go to the vet. It was a raging bladder infection. She's on antibiotics now and is feeling much better. Thanks for all your concern.

I bet that was a sight to see... Hope all wounds heal up fast. God's blessings, Lloyd

I think the wound to my pride may be what hurt most! :o) Thanks!

Oh, I've got you beat with my 53-year old bruises from just wandering into things on a regular basis. I trip over my own feet in the house quite frequently too.

Heal quickly ~ both you and Daisy.

When you fell, did you look around to see if anyone had noticed? 48 can't be all that old, if you still get scuffed knees,on the other hand, maybe it is old because don't older people fall a lot?

Ouch! Falling while running is never fun! But thankfully, nothing a little neosporin and bandaid can't fix! :)

I'm sure you fell as gracefully as possible. I hope you just got a scraped knee and that nothing else hurts.

I'm glad to hear that Daisy is doing better!

As for your knee...OUCH!!! I'm glad that it was only a scraped knee, though. It could have been worse!!!

Hoping you are both better soon!!! <3

Glad Daisy is on the mend. Too bad you had to fall to create such a great poem!

Man I hurt...Went to Mass this evening and it hurt to kneel. I think an ibuprofen in in order along with a bit of ice...

Sarah said...

Ouch! Been there, done that in my running days. Take care of yourself. Ice is definitely in order.

Awww man! That's awful , it can be scary in our old age hey .... I remember falling on the ice flat on my back awhile ago ... and yes it does hurt the pride .

Good for Daisy! And what can be more youthful looking than a pink little scuffed up knee? Put some pink Hello Kitty bandages on it. It will be adorable.
