Blogger's Block

(Image stolen obtained from Google Images)

I have been suffering from severe blogger's block since my return from Kansas. I realize my posts have been lame of late and for that, I apologize. I'll have great ideas for posts but these ideas usually occur while I'm driving, as I'm falling asleep, or in the bathroom: places that make it dangerous to pen these thoughts, where turning on the light would disrupt Mr. Sister's beauty sleep, or where the only paper at hand is of the toilet variety.

So I've decided to enlist your help. What would you all like to read from me? I'm willing to try any topic, as long as it's not something nasty or profane. (I have certain values to uphold and besides, my children read my blog). I could do silly or serious. It's your call.

To make it interesting, if I use your topic I will give you a shout out and an award to dress up your blog!

Okay...keep those ideas flowing. I'm off to design the award now!

Personally, I have enjoyed the randomness and silliness lately! If I had to pick... hmmm. I love seeing the personal side of people. Like what's your favorite shampoo? Toilet cleaner? Hairspray? Casserole dish? You know.... :)

HA!!! I too am having the same problem. I feel your pain. Why not do a random list of things interesting facts about yourself??

Polly dear, your posts have been absolutely fine. But with that said some ideas that came to mind:
* why you chose to go into RT?
* why you home school?
* something in your life that you couldn't live without and why
* how you ended up in NC (and how you would love a visitor sometime in the near future ;o)
* some random things that pop into your head throughout the day & expand (see my post tomorrow :o)

XOXO
MJ

I love the variety of posts on your blog! Everything from random thoughts to longer, more involved posts. In general, I always find random thoughts more interesting, because they kind of lead us to other thoughts, like "I saw abc while driving to work today and it reminded me of this time when I was a kid..."

Or you could do what I've been doing lately and neglect your family, stay up til midnight going through old photos and reminiscing! ;)

I've got some! What is the most profound dream you had as a child? I mean actual, sleeping dream.
What is the first smell you remember?
How did your great grandparents meet? And if you can't find out, then just make up a really good story.

Wow. Lots of good ideas. I'm a sucker for how people met their spouses.

I enjoy randomness...I can't seem to get myself together lately, either!

Who said your posts have been lame? I don't think so!! I know I missed a few while I was sick, but I'd doubt they were lame.

As to what I would like to see......more neti pot! Kidding of course. How about some cooking posts? Or tell us about the beautiful area you live in. Post anything at all, I'll read it!

I knew it! There is such a thing as blogger's block! I too ama current sufferer of this condition. I don't know why...but I will say that I enjoy your blog. I like the randomness of it. Off the top of my head, two of my favorite posts are Mr. Carrot and the one about your feet. I don't have any suggestions, only compliments! :)

You could never be lame. Not ever.

Been there with the bloggers block. In fact, I blogged about it.

Now, as a question for you, you homeschool, right? What made you come to that choice, and since you made it, what advice would you give to someone contemplating the same choice.

If you google "the simple woman's daybook" you will find a blog with a number of statements. For instance,
Outside my window...
I am thinking...
I am thankful for...

I have seen other bloggers use the simple woman's daybook to give them idea's.

Just a thought.

This Blogger's Block must be contagious because I have it and you're like the third one I've read with it too. Lots of rambling out there on the blogosphere! I don't even have any rambling to contribute (except to your comment section), so everyone's ahead of me.

Ideas for your blog? Haven't got any. Sorry. :-/

I was starting to feel this, so I wrote my story about my hubby and me. Then I ranted a little, which is def. more random, and of course, I find the odd meme and just do it. The most important thing is that you DON'T OVERTHINK it! Just start writing, give a favorite recipe for a stormy day, or post some pictures of stormy/rainy day activities. Discuss your faith a bit... explain more about the Catholic faith.. I would like to understand more...

I love your blog. It is one of the daily blogs I must visit. Because I am so organized (anal) I have themes for my days. When I think of something to blog about I know what day I will use it.

I went with my own themes.

Your blog is anything but stale. I like it alot. You're funny and informative. I like your style of writing. Don't let the bad monkeys take over your head. Chase them out - quickly! :)

It's contagious this time of year. I said almost the same thing at the end of my post today and hardly anyone answered my question. :(

I'm the same way with the ideas that hit me in the shower, falling asleep, and I get a lot of them when I'm driving. I yi yi!

PS Go to Mama Kat's site and check out some of her previous Writer's Workshop prompts. That may get you rolling.

I would like to read more about your life being a devout Catholic!
Ideas: the Rosary, Mass, Sins

Oh and what state do you like in?

Oh, yes. Bloggers block! Me, too. Me, too. There's something about being away from it that zaps the creative juices. I'm going through that now. And I wasn't away for quite as long. It'll come back. I hope it will.
