Ah, the painters. They were here for 3 days. My drywall, in the hall and kitchen, was patched and repaired. My new front door was painted, inside and out. My shutters received a new coat of paint, as well, to match my new front door. I, naturally, took this opportunity to update the wall color in my kitchen. Here are a couple of Before/After photos:
Before: Brick #4/After: Hubbard Squash
Before: Mushroom/After: Raisin

I am glad the whole thing's over (I have a thing about repairs and repairmen - the mess just freaks me out!). It looks amazing. I LOVE your brick/stone facade (I don't know how to describe it better in English, but I hope you get the point). I hope you enjoy your renewed home! :)
How funny! Your kitchen is now the same color as mine! My cabinets are a different color, but the wall color looks exactly like mine (I've been meaning to post a pic of my kitchen on my blog). Great minds think alike, eh? I love the darker color on the shutters, too.
I like the switch in the kitchen... although I liked the original color too!
man, if only we owned our home.. I would be painting EVERY ROOM!! : )
but alas I can just admire your new shutters instead! I like the darker color, it stands out from the brick nicely! : )
Thanks for the comments, gang. Thames...you're funny. The Master bed/bath, the "office" and the bonus room are still "builder's white". Some day they'll change but we've been in this house 10 1/2 years so don't be holding your breath. Daughter has outgrown her Caribbean Blue/Neon Green room and wants a good neutral brown. I guess she's next...but it still may be awhile since I'll be the one doing the painting!
The kitchen looks brighter :) Great color choices :)
I love the new look! Nice choices! I'm sure it feels very "fresh!"
