Snowbound

DAY 2

It appears it will be another day trapped in the old homestead.

Our only means of escape has been rendered useless
by several inches of snow and ice.

The driveway is nothing but a sheet of ice.

As are the streets.

Good thing I stocked up on plenty of milk, bread, and toilet paper.

It appears that we may be homebound for awhile.

The natives already grow restless.

Send help.

oh man! Last year when snowpocolapse(21 inches in 24 hours) hit the Burgh... it was awful! I was pregnant and slipped in the snow while trying to get the car unstuck from a 2 foot snowbank we had slid into... even though we were only going about 15mph, the streets were just so icy...
Needless to say I stayed in for awhile after that... it took 2 weeks until all the streets were plowed... not fun! So I feel your pain and I am sending you mental sunshine to warm you up! : )
Good luck!

Be careful if you have to go out! It looks pretty slick.

I hate driving on ice! I also hate walking on icy sidewalks, steps, driveways, parking lots....suffice it to say I just hate ice. Last year I slipped on our back steps and hurt my knee, my hip and my wrist.

I'm glad you have the essentials in the house. Honestly, is there anything more important than toilet paper? If you run out of milk or bread you can probably substitute something else, but toilet paper? I don't even want to think about it!!!

Wooo! My kids have that same sled! I just got the notice that they have another snow day tomorrow due to temperatures. Joy!

That driveway looks just plain scary.

I am jealous! It is supposed to snow here tonight, but they went from predicting 8" to 1". I LOVE it, but I realize I am the minority :)

Oh my my. Although I love to look at pics of the snow, living in it might send me over the edge. Not getting out, kids at home and restless... It gets below 70 here and I'm freezing... Think my bloods too thin...

We are starting day three of snow bound. Even I am getting a bit stir crazy! Tomorrow I am hoping to actually go to work. Can't believe I actually said that.

Looks familiar. Things here in Ohio are beginning to look like this as well. Much snow, wind, and ice still on the way. Perhaps classes will be cancelled tomorrow? I'm not counting on anything yet...

You got way more than we did. Schools closed early yesterday. Today we were closed all day and so far tomorrow we have a 2 hour delay. I wouldn't be surprised if they canceled school though. Wish it was snow but it's all just ice.

we have begun to get the one two punch here...although with farm tractors at the ready, we are more often than not pulling out the state road trucks!

We have that same sled! Glad you stocked up on the milk and toilet paper. Everyone has been joking about that on facebook.

We're getting slammed. Hope you all get out soon. Ice is a killah.

We got snow too, and it's bitter cold. But it's CO and we're all crazy. Snow has to be pretty deep before we get smart and stay home...Although today I am housebound. The Engineer's ancient Volvo wouldn't start, so he stole my 1994 beauty and left at 6 am for his breakfast club...so my choices are stay put, or test a basket full of old Volvo keys to see if by some chance we have a spare. We really should throw away the old keys...we've been through a LOT of old Volvos. We fix 'em up and then donate...

UGH! I know how you feel! We got snow, too. Fortunately, they have the snow routes cleared and there WILL be school tomorrow!!!

Also, I wanted to let you know that I have to send my PC to Hewlett Packard AGAIN...so if you miss me, that's why!!!
