Sunday 160: Her Mission

Fuzzy remnants of sleep cling
to the edges of consciousness
as she arises to make a difference
and save the world
(her tiny part of it, anyway)

I love that.

Making a difference in our own corner, in our own way. Important and admirable.

Lovely 160.

Our little corner is pretty much all we have. Then come the butterflies who carry the mission forward.

Oh yes. Our corners are unique to us. No one else has our combination of experiences and circle of reach. This was a lovely reminder to do what we can, when we can, for whom He has put in our path.
As to respiratory therapists, they are my heroes. Jake has a had severe asthma since 6 months old. I had that horrid whooping cough-lung infection thing. We've been blessed with wonderful, caring, knowledgeable help from these angels. One even drove way out to my grandmother's remote summer home at midnight to deliver a new air hose when the one on our nebulizer had accidentally been left at home 1600 miles away. Jake was having an attack, and he got there in 20 minutes. Thanks for being that hero for those you treat.

Following both my gall bladder removal and my hysterectomy, a respiratory therapist came in and made me use this lil gadget. I had to suck in and keep the ball floating in a target area plus get the plunger to a certain number. I was already miserable and didn't wanna do it, but I did because they cheered me on and explained why it was necessary. They were patient and kind and I am so very grateful for them!

If we all tend to our tiny parts, the world would become a pretty great place!

With the medical ordeal we went through with my mom last year...and her ultimate diagnosis with COPD, I know how important your job is...and appreciate those in your field (my mom had a GREAT respiratory therapist working with her!). LOVE THIS ONE!!!!
