After years of hiding
behind murky memories
& within distant dreamscapes
She, the inner child,
decided it was time for her
to forge her own path.

Grrrreat! She has decided it's time for her to be proactive. I like it!
The inner child, very good, everyone has one but many of us don't let her out to play.

Oh, wow. So beautiful and so poignant! I love it!
I like that! - fits the pic quite well too...
Ooh... I like this!
Fantastic! Forge ahead, inner child.
I loved this! Well done!
The inner child not only finds a voice but finds her feet too! Beautiful little micro!
Go for it, Inner Child!
The forest in literature is often a place of transformation. Augustine was in the garden when the voice said 'take up and read'. It's a place for fairy tales and dumped bodies, too. I like forests.
Good for her! Very profound. I love it :O)
Good one! We channeled each other...I, too have an inner child story for this week.
Wonderful, I loved this :o)
It's good to break out :-)
"THE" one and only inner child- are you sure ? Hee-Hee, impish things those inner children... Thanks!
Y'know, this sounds like my little sister. She lived with my mom for a long time, always the one of us that was quiet, well behaved, almost in the shadows. One day, she just decided it was time to be a grown up, moved out and got a job, and flourished into a witty, wonderful woman.
Just as an FYI: I moved my blog. I'd love it if you'd come follow me! I'm now at Turtle Droppings!
lovely! catures the mood perfectly
Your flash tale doth inspire! I'm going to make this an Inner Me Day, starting with ice cream for breakfast, because, hey, it couldn't hurt!

Gorgeous take on the picture!
The freedom that only a pink windbreaker and a path full of leaves could give. Nice view.
Beautifully written. Great microfiction.
Love the alliteration. Very evocative.
Oh, nice and what a great idea. Susan's daughter does make a prefect inner child image.
As soon as I saw the picture, I wondered what fabulous tale you were going to tell. You did not disappoint. Very introspective.
Freedom is hers today! :O)
Good for her! And she picked a lovely day to do it. :)
I love that the inner child got to go outside...excellent!
Oh--I want MY inner child to forge her own path! That was a great MM--I really enjoyed it.
Cheers!
