Ponchos are so multi-purpose. Hilarious. It reminds me of what my son saw in Niger--many men wear the traditional Muslim garb of a long (to well below the knees) shirt over loose trousers. On long cross-country bus rides, bus drivers would stop for "pit stops" and the men would get off and relieve themselves right outside the bus, well covered by their long shirts. No such things as McDonald's out in the bush.
