Preying: A Flash Friday Offering

Photo belongs to coupekid.deviantart.com

black-wolf prowls
perimeter
of conscious thought
as desire to
adopt him,
train him,
control him,
consumes
every thought,
every action,
stealing time away
from search for
long lost child.

blackbirds spy,
keeping guard,
watching,
waiting
for moment
when memories of
how powerful,
how cunning,
how baffling,
predator can be
fades...

meanwhile,
ever vigilant…
black-wolf prowls

A black wolf... beautiful but in movies they are always scary! It would be hard to forget that... (I don't like blackbirds much either)

What a great image of the predator / creepy when you think of the human predator

This poem feels downright predatory! Nice work, Polly.

the wolf always prowls...and we must remain ever vigilant...esp if we invite them in and try to tame them...

Nice and twisty 55, my favorite kind.

I love those types of dreams that linger as long as they aren't the kind that scare the heck out of me.

You captured the essence of predatory behavior perfectly, Polly.

(Jots something down, while thinking to himself that this chick is crazy)
"Polly, the Wolf represents your fear of NOT being able to come up with a Friday Flash 55. Out of fear of being dragged into Evil Immortality, you continue to play each week. But your brilliant strategy may not always work. Once in a while, you must be able to work in a story and pic regarding Sandals and/or bare feet. Eternal Damnation awaits you if you dismiss this as folly.
Pay 50 Bucks to the Secretary, and I'll see you in a week.
Have a Kick Ass Week-End

Love this image of the wolf something dangerous, wild and untamed, you wish to make your own, while at the same time knowing he will always be what he is.
