These Difficult Economic Times...

...have affected the Sister household.

Mr. Sister just called to inform me that Wachovia, er...Well's Fargo, has eliminated his project and he will be let go of his contract at the end of the month. Unfortunately, because Mr. Sister is a contract employee, he is not eligible for any severance package.

What does that mean for the Sister household? Belt tightening and boot strap lifting, of course. I will be investigating opportunities to work more hours at the hospital and possibly trying to get on at other facilities. It will be tough but with perserverance and prayers we can get through this.

Polly, sorry to hear about that. I'm a freelance worker too so I know what it's like to lose work at the drop of a hat. I feel for you but I am confident you will get through this.

Polly, I am so sorry to hear about your husbands job loss. Both my husband and I are concerned about losing our jobs, the job prospects here in Dayton are quite ugly. I hope that not only are you able to pick up more hours but also that your hubby is able to find another job quickly.

We're very fortunate to have made it through some scary job cuts going on around us, so I really feel for you and your family. And I know it's cliche, but I truly believe that God doesn't close one door without opening another. Hang in there!
