I took "Jet" to the nearby veterinary clinic. They scanned her looking for an imbedded microchip. The result? We have good news: Jet is actually Roxy and, believe it or not, a patient of this particular clinic! They put in calls to her owners and will keep her until the owners are able to pick her up.
Munchie-Boy, however, was quite distraught as he and Roxy had developed a deep bond. Funny, Roxy didn't want us to leave as she kept leaning into my son's body as if saying "please, don't go!" My son broke down into a flood of tears. Seeing that broke my heart.
We've got to get this boy a dog to call his own!

ohhhhh.... my heart breaks for your son!!! I'm sure the family was happy to have "Roxy" home... but wouldn't it be interesting if she showed back up at your door??!! :)
Your poor son! I remember having to say goodbye to stray dogs and cats when I was kid. It was always hard!
Is there a shelter near your house where you could look for a nice dog that needs a home?
We just have to be careful with daughter's asthma/allergies. And I didn't post this but this dog appears to be the same lab that showed up on our doorstep last February, only that time she had tags on her collar and we were able to get a hold of the owners.
I think Roxy's looking for a new home, and yours is it!!! :)
Oh, that's no good. Jet seemed like a great addition to your clan.
I was sorry too. :( You definitely a dog of your own. I hope that you find the right one (one that doesn't induce allergic reactions to your daughter) soon!
Oh, I'm so bummed!!! I'll miss you, Jet!! Hope you are able to find a dog that will fit in just right!
