Mutant Veggie Discovered in Sister Garden

This just in: 2 extremely large, mutant zucchini were found lurking in the Sister garden early Saturday morning. A shocked 5th Sister was heard mumbling, "I've never seen anything quite like this!" Mr. Sister, who found the 2nd giant squash simply stated, "I thought 5th was just trying to see how big the thing would actually get."

The zucchini weighed in at approximately 2 lbs each and are awaiting their fate.

The super big one would make great bread if it is a little too woody to be yummy in other recipes. I grate mine and put them in the freezer, for thawing and using later. There are always a few of them that somehow hide in all those beautiful leaves!! : )
(oh and yellow squash is also yummo in bread if you have any that escape you!) : )

Wow, they are pretty big, they must have been well hidden. You will have to let us know what they "turn" into =)

Wow! Isn't it funny? You can check your garden every day, yet somehow these can stay hidden!

Thanks Mama! I will check that out. I use a Canon Power Shot A590. I use the indoor setting, without flash in the "macro" mode (whatever that means!)

Yes! Mutant Zucchini! As you know, a topic near and dear to my heart! So, now I'm curious...what was the fate of the big guy? Bread? Stuffed? Ratatouille?
