My arms are too short and my glasses too weak...
My face is breaking out like a teenager's...
"Waves of warmth" are beginning to make an appearance...
I now have to watch what I eat when I never had to before...
My memory is shot...
My hearing is going...
My joints now ache after my morning runs...
My kids are growing up too fast...
My hair is thinning and making a reappearance on my upper lip...
Miralax is my best friend...
However, on a positive note:
I am wiser...
I don't have to ask permission to do what I'd like to do...
I make a decent salary because of my 30 years of experience...
No one cards me when I purchase beer or wine...
My home is nearly paid for...
I am confident...
I actually like the taste of healthy foods...
I can carry on an adult conversation with my kids...
I don't worry about what others think...
I can take pride in my kids who have grown into remarkable, talented individuals...
It all balances out, don't you agree?
