Saturday Centus-Sunday 160: July 31, 2011

Chef Marcel,
a man of literal sorts,
finally realizes his dream

Today is the day
he opens his very own
sidewalk café

Sacré bleu!
He has forgotten
the non-stick spray!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This weekend, Ms. Jenny challenged us with a photo prompt and was generous enough to give us up to a full 100 words to capture a story. Well, I kind of got use to the "flash fiction" posts of late so I combined her photo with Monkey Man's Sunday 160 meme, where you have to use 160 characters, exactly, to write your story. The above was my attempt.
This is great - a lilting little verse that ends in a funny disaster. Great minds, yes?
Hi..thanks so much for coming by and making me feel welcome to the Sat. Centus. I loved doing this and am looking forward to next Sat.
Tell me, if you would, when does Jenny post the subject of the centus for the week?
I love your cute personality that comes thru your little *centus* here.I am impressed that so many come up with amazing results using such a limited number of words. Amazing and I just love it. Sorry I have missed so much already.
I am signing up to follow..hope you will come back to see me soon.
That is awesome. Great Sunday 160 photo prompt combo. Thanks for playing and enjoy the rest of your weekend.(I've gotten used to these shirt fictions myself...I can hardly write more than 55 words anymore.)
Even with the spray the eggs come out gritty.
So creative... so much fun!
